Amir and Mate, an LGBTQ+ couple, celebrated their love with a heartfelt ceremony at Copenhagen City Hall, surrounded by their closest loved ones. They connected with me through Getting Married in Denmark, a service specializing in helping international couples tie the knot in Denmark.
Though they were initially nervous about being in front of the camera, I quickly helped them feel at ease with a relaxed and natural approach. Their wedding day was a perfect blend of intimate moments and lighthearted fun, with beautiful portraits captured inside Copenhagen City Hall and during a stroll through the city’s charming old town. The resulting photos reflected their true selves—genuine, relaxed, and full of love.
“We picked Kristjan to be our photographer when we got married in Copenhagen in February 2024. Understandably, we were nervous and self-conscious on our big day but he immediately made us feel at ease thanks to his kind and open personality. Communication was excellent from the get-go—he selected some lovely backdrops within the Town Hall building after the ceremony and took us on a quick walking photoshoot in the city’s old town.
We got the first sneak peeks shortly after our wedding and he sent the full album a few days later. Apart from the technical quality, it was so great to see the photos showing our natural selves; none felt contrived or artificial. If you’re looking to get married in Denmark, we can only recommend Kristjan—he’s a lovely person with excellent photography skills, and we’re delighted to have worked with him!”
