Abhi & Florian
Cozy summer elopement at Stevns Klint
Store Heddinge / Stevns Klint
On a beautiful warm summer day, the closet friends and family of Abhi and Florian gathered at Store Heddinge City Hall to celebrate their big day. The ceremony took place at Store Heddinge Town Hall, an arrangement made through GMID. It is always the lovely Malene that conducts the ceromonies at the town hall, and after the vows were exchanged, we headed for Stevns Klint.
One of the advantages of being married in Store Heddinge is the many possibilities the nearby Stevns affords. The diverse nature of the area is perfect to fulfil the wishes of most couples with regards to documenting their wedding through my camera lense. The couple also got the opportunity to visit both Stevns Klint and Rรธdvig Strand/Badehotel.
Guys, congratulation with your wedding day!
Alexandra & Anthony
Intense and intimate elopement in Tivoli, Copenhagen!
Gemyse / Tivoli
Alexandra & Anthony come from Beirut in Lebanon and had an intense and intimate courtship in Denmark. They decided to have their flash wedding in Copenhagen, because of the equality of both partners in a civil marriage. And what is a better place to celebrate your wedding day than The Greenhouse at Gemyse in Tivoli? A beautiful location.
The Greenhouse is intimate and small, so when Alexandra & Anthony contacted me about choosing Copenhagen for their special day, I knew this would be a great location for the type of wedding day they wished for, natural and atmospheric. I was all in. A brave choice - and an exciting challenge and a day that was enjoyed by all.
A perfect lowkey elopement.
Congratulation.
You guys rock!
Alina & Price
Intimate summer elopement in Copenhagen!
รrstedsparken / Kings Garden / Nyboder
On a bright summer day, Alina and Price got married at Kongens Have in Copenhagen. It was a warm and beautiful day, the sun was shining and good humour filled the city. I met with Alina and Price at their hotel, Manon Les Suites Guldsmeden Hotel (Highly recommended!). From there, we found our way to รrsted Parken and was then off to Kongens Have, for the ceremony was. After the ceremony we grabbed a beer and found a little ray of sunshine at Nyboder. What a cozy day!
Alina and Price were referred to me through Getting Married in Denmark, who help international couples to get married in Denmark. Iโm thrilled that Alina and Price reached out to me, because it was such a joy to explore Copenhagen with them. We had such a lovely time! During our session, we talked about the everyday life in Germany, where Alina and Price live and in Denmark, where Iโm located.
Thank you for a wonderful day!

Jana & Muktar
Intimate elopement at Stevns and cozy dinner at The Norrmans
Store Heddinge, Stevns - Denmark
Jana comes from Germany and Muktar from Ethiopia, together with their closest family and friends, they were married at the town hall in Store Heddinge, Denmark. They had planned a cozy autumn ceremony in front of the loved ones to celebrate their love for each other.
Afterwards, a stormy day met at us at the beach close to Hรธjerup old church at Stevns Klint. It was here that the couple carried out an old German tradition. Jana and Muktar had to cut out a heart from a large piece of fabric to symbolise their unbreakable love. Afterwards we headed for the Norrmans farmhouse bed and breakfast, a wonderful place on Stevns, where the attention to detail and atmophere are to behold. So if you are thinking of tying the knot in Stevns, give the Norrmans a look, you won't be dissapointed.
Thank you for a cozy day, Jana & Muktar.
Kate & Malte
Natural and nice elopement at Stevns
Store Heddinge, Stevns - Denmark
Kate and Malte live together in York, in England. Kate is from Belarus and Malte from Germany and they both met at their place of work. However, because of bureaucratic challenges, they travelled to Denmark, to get married.
Kate and Malte were looking for an elopement photographer, who could document their marriage at Store Heddinge City Hall. They wanted a short session, cause โwe are quite introverted and donโt like to put so much in front of cameraโ. This is not the first time that a couple have mentioned this โ actually the majority of the couples who reach out to me prefer not to be in front of the camera. So I asked them to just relax and be themselves as I had a lot of experience with camera shy couples..
It was a lovely scandinavian summer day, when we met in front of the City Hall in Store Heddinge, Stevns. You may not of thought of Denmark as a location for your wedding but it is a beautiful country and the southern part of Sjรฆlland is no exception. Kate and Malte had a lovely lowkey ceremony at the City Hall had requested some unstaged natural wedding photos, so we headed to Holtug Kridtbrud, just 10 minutes from the City Hall. Here we had a beautiful backdrop of the sea and chalk quarry. During the portrait session it turned out that Kate and Malte were actually great in front of the camera and soon they started to relax and enjoy the experience.
Cheers guys.
Looking forward to see you again.
Zoe & Tom
International wedding at Sonnerupgaard Gods
Sonnerupgaard Gods, Vestsjรฆlland
Zoe and Tom were on the lookout for a wedding photographer for their international barn wedding on the charming Sonnerupgaard Gods in west Zealand. They had organised a fun and beautiful DIY wedding where sustainability, recycling and upcycling were the central focus. Check out their Instagram.
The 1877 barn at Sonnerupgaard Gods is a great location when it comes to weddings. So I knew instantly that I was free, when Zoe and Tom asked if I was available to document their environmentally sustainable wedding. It was a beautiful wedding in fantastic weather with blue skies and a gentle breeze. The wedding couple had invited family and friends from near and far, including the USA, England and Horsens in Jylland.
The guests were invited to an outdoor ceremony held by Zoeโs brother. Zoe and Tom had gotten married the year before, so it was with relaxed shoulders and a smile on the lips that the couplesโ love was celebrated. Afterwards there were refreshments and wedding cake in front of the beautiful historic barn. I love it when newlyweds think differently, for example, serving wedding cake at a non-traditional time, which gives opportunities to structure the day in a creative way.
One of the traditional English traditions the couple wanted to include was the throwing of the bridal bouquet and stocking into the unwed guests, so that they could be sure to be invited to a wedding sometime in the near future. There was a roar of jubilation and much laughter when the bridal bouquet was thrown and caught by one of the assembled guests.
The good atmosphere continued during lunch, helped no doubt by the lovely food, good company and lots of snaps!
The good humor continued after lunch and on to the dance floor with many a guest enjoying the chance to let their hair down and throw a few shapes.
Thanks guys, what a day! <3
Marina & Carlos
Fun elopement in Copenhagen City Center!
Copenhagen
Marina and Carlos asked if I would like to document their wedding day in Copenhagen. Q day that should be fun and silly, a day that should be how they imagined. A day to be celebrated with their two best friends.
The atmosphere was electric as the happy couple married in Copenhagen Town Hall, before hitting the streets of beautiful Copenhagen. First stop was to the nearest shop to by some 'walking beer', beer you drink whilst walking! The Danes just love their beer. With a cold beer in hand we wandered the streets, the smiles, humour and goofyness of the new couple were enjoyed by all before ending up at Magstrรฆde and Kunstforeningen GL STRAND, an art gallery in the coziest of surroundings. Later on the newlyweds climbed Sean Scully's tree sculpture outside Thorvaldsens Museum and took a walk on the water. Yeah, why not?
I haveโnt laughed so hard for a long time!
Thank you for a wonderful experience, Marina & Carlos.
Katie & Emil
International wedding in Copenhagen
Copenhagen City Hall / Ryethรธjgรฅrd
Katie & Emil was looking for a wedding photographer who could document their wedding day at Copenhagen City Hall, with portraits to follow in Copenhagenโs cozy streets and courtyards. The day would finish with a wedding party at beautiful Ryethรธjgรฅrd, just outside of Copenhagen. When I am taking wedding photos of a bridal couple, it is important for me, that I have an idea of who they are as a couple. Katie and Emil told me about their first meeting as backpackers and how it is to have a long distance relationship, Katie lives in Texas, USA and Emil in Vรฆrlรธse, Denmark.
On their wedding day, I met with Katie and Emil at Copenhagen City Hall. They had invited the closest family and friends to the ceremony, so it was a crowded and excited wedding room. Once they said "I do", you could feel the redemption for Katie and Emil after all the effort and commitment they had put into their relationship. There was a very special joy and chemistry between Katie and Emil, so it was with tears of joy that their relatives celebrated the newlywedsโ first kiss.
Katie and Emil wanted to have their portraits taken in the old part of Copenhagen. They were looking for locations with strong colours and history. So we headed to Magstrรฆde, just 5 minutes from Copenhagen City Hall. Here we took slightly different portraits, so there was some variation in the individual wedding photos. Then we walked to Kunstforeningen Gammel Strand, where there is a back yard with beautiful and strong orange vibes. Fantastic place!
The wedding party was held at Ryethรธjgรฅrd, outside of Copenhagen, where family and friends were invited to a wedding party with an overnight stay. A cozy and simple room with a long table as the center. It gave a warm, intimate and relaxed atmosphere to the whole wedding night which was enjoyed by everyone. The speakers had Katie and Emil's mutual joy and chemistry as their focal point - and you understand that, look at them! It's love!
The party took off fast - and in typical Danish fashion there was dancing and laughter late into the night!
Thank you, Katie and Emil.
It was a pleasure to attend your wedding as your photographer!
Jen & Chris
Lowkey elopement at Frederiksberg
Frederiksberg, Denmark
Jennifer, fron Columbia and Christian from the USA are residents of Bogota where they own a brunch restaurant. Their aim is to provide a good quality menu with excellent coffee at an affordable price, one that is also accesible to the locals. They came to Denmark to get married because of the bureaucracy the respective countries.
We met outside the town hall in Frederiksberg, 30 minutes before the ceremony so that Jennifer and Christian could enjoy a glass of wine to calm the nerves. After the 'I dos' were exchanged, we headed for the calm of Frederiksberg Gardens, a perfect stage for pictures to record the day.
Lovely to meet you Jen and Chris. I look forward to seeing you again one day.
